Our vision

We see the opportunity for a future world of work in which we all love our jobs and therefore rock. And we believe that the time is ripe to supplement rigid working relationships with more genuinely flexible work. We envision a world in which employees can flexibly arrange their workload according to their stage and situation in life, giving them more freedom to choose when, where, how often and for which employer they work. Employers should be able to assign work flexibly according to their needs, drawing on a pool of their own employees but also simply finding new people who are interested in flexible work assignments.

Our mission

job.rocks stands for a new era of work flexibility that combines motivated employees and the best company results. We bridge the gap between the flexible needs of employees and the fluctuating requirements of companies.

Our intuitive SaaS solution gives employers the opportunity to build up their own employee pool and deploy staff according to their skills and availability. In return, employees are given the freedom to organize their working hours flexibly. So everyone can live and rock their jobs with passion.

Interview with the founders

It is no coincidence that Florian Bodenmann and Fabio Donnaloia developed the online platform job.rocks together. Florian, a business IT specialist, and Fabio, a former Swiss managing director of the CPM promotion agency, know both the personnel market and the digital possibilities in this area like the back of their hands.

How did you actually come up with the idea of developing an online portal for event job planning and placement?

As the managing director of a large promotion agency, I spent more than five years looking for software that would cover the entire administrative process of personnel planning, from recruitment to payroll accounting. It was always clear to me that with the right system we could work around 5-20% more efficiently internally.

I wanted to solve a real problem for my master's thesis and that's how I came up with staff scheduling software. I conducted around 20 interviews, including with Fabio, who was looking for software in this area. The project then became more and more comprehensive and now we have a very flexible solution at the start, where employers can freely choose their modules depending on their needs.

If you were running an event location or offering an event service, why would you use job.rocks for your personnel planning in the future?

Working with job.rocks is fun and the operation is very intuitive, which is something we attached great importance to during development. Thanks to job.rocks, employees in planning and recruitment can spend more time for and with customers and employees. Instead of emails, lists, WhatsApp, software and a phone, all they need now is job.rocks and a phone.

In addition, job.rocks does not incur any costs when you are not using the software. So you pay for the tool when you need it and have no other expenses.

Assuming that your platform is not purely non-profit in nature, how and where do you actually earn your money with job.rocks?

job.rocks works with a freemium model, i.e. many functions and also a marketplace through which employees can be recruited - are effectively free of charge. The other modules offer so many advantages that you don't want to do without them.

In addition to the free marketplace for employees and employers, we also offer the software for shift planning as an extension, which we charge for each job processed. You can also simply register to use this extension, which is free of charge. Costs are only incurred if you then also work with the deployment planning. In addition, companies that do not want to hire their temporary staff themselves can also outsource this to us.

Finally, a look into the future: what is your vision for job.rocks, where do you want your platform to be in five years' time?

Fabio is always on the lookout for solutions to optimize processes in order to promote growth and achieve high-quality results more efficiently and with less effort. His enthusiasm for flexible working began when he was earning money as a promoter during his studies and continued in his role as stand manager at the Geneva Motor Show and later as Managing Partner at one of the largest global promotion agencies and as founder of job.rocks. Fabio holds a lic.oec. degree from the University of St. Gallen and maintains a connection to his second home in Puglia in southern Italy.

Florian is deeply committed to bringing people together and increasing efficiency in processes. Before joining job.rocks, he worked in the evaluation and administration of various administrative systems at a reinsurance company. He holds a Master's degree in Business Informatics from the ZHAW and is fascinated by the white nights of the north.

Gerrit is a true jack-of-all-trades who impresses with his wide-ranging expertise in marketing, finance, leadership and business development. He is the magician in the background who turns ideas into reality at lightning speed. However, his greatest passion is marketing, where he brings creative strategies to life. He finds balance not only by devouring books or on the tennis court, but above all on the surfboard - preferably in the warm waves of Indonesia.
